We were really lucky to meet a group of guys that had the same views on making friends at festivals as we do...essentially, make friends with everybody. I'd say there were roughly 300-400 people at Hexfest and we did our best to know them all. Names sometimes escape me, so if I forget your name I fully blame the beer. Email me and I'll make it right. |
The Beer Knights Would Like To Thank :
- Steve Walker for putting together a great festival! You deserve the executive privileges.
- Beans. Without you, a lot of people's Hexfest would've been much less interesting.
- Hunter The Chosen for being an awesome Photo Squire. Most of the pictures we have up from Hexfest are thanks to Hunter. Great job!
- Johnny Quest for being a great Sticker Squire. There weren't too many people at Hexfest that didn't have a sticker due to your fine work.
- Josh for the outstanding security, road flares, pern in the woods, the "bus party", and the emergency sandal fix. It would've been a rough weekend without you.
- Tony for inviting us to the circle, bringing hundreds of "Little Hug" juices, and almost eating a worm.
- Jeff for the tent-flattening fight.
- Chase for being the butchest MILF I've ever seen and bringing girls at the last second.
- Matt for not cutting his hair. Is your great-great-grandfather angry that you burned his tent?
- Greg for spending 27 hours trying to start a fire that nobody sat around.
- Shawn for winning.
- Jeanette for hanging out at the campsite and adding some much needed beauty to our otherwise haggard circle.
- Happy for bubbling and not telling me your real name.
- Kelly for hanging out at the camp and reminding me of Saratoga Springs.
- Minos Conway (Joel, Shannon, Taryn, James, and the others) for the great demo CD! If you haven't heard these guys, you're missing out!
- 'The Folk Ups' for naming their camp. There aren't enough camps with names out there.
- Janelle and Tina for drinking all Patrick's beer, most of my Pucker, and the great photo op afterward.
- Naomi the Marketing Girl for owing me one. *wink*
- Topher and Megan from Quality West Coast Glass for nominating us as Mayors of Moe.Down. We'll try to get there!
- Vincent for the networking opportunity. Businesses really do need more people like you and I, right?
- Uncle Gary for wandering down the hill for a bit.
- Uncle Gerrard for the Dragonheart monologue. "A knight is sworn to valor, his heart knows only virtue."
- Christine for liking my necklaces.
- ...Giles for the margarita and the wicked headache the next morning.
- The Hula Girl Guy for dressing up. We like having friends as crazy as us!
- Hippie for giving me a good parking spot.
- Badge Guy and Independent Girl for intelligent conversation when everybody else at the festival was in a drunken stupor.
- Cathy for the great henna tattoo and remembering my car.
- Shayla for the stuff. Nice ringtone, by the way.
- Jay and Charla for pushing your car all the way to Hexfest. That's devotion!
- The Jell-O shot girls for the Jell-O shots.
- Water Ice guy for being so hammered for so long and still staying upright somehow.
- The soup lady for timely and delicious sustenance.
- Callie, her mom, and her sister. I'm sorry I made you cry, little one! Big men in armor are pretty scary, I guess.
- The orange Jagermeister girl for spending a good 30 minutes rooting through her bag for money that I'm pretty sure didn't exist.
- Mia the dog for being so good while your humans were misbehaving.
- Everybody else who took pictures with us, wore a Beer Knight sticker, held our swords, donated a beer or food, took the time to chat with us, or are planning to make armor of their own. It was great meeting all of you!
